was created to provide a showcase for film makers to hone their craft - with short films.
The art of the short film is becoming lost with big budget movies and special effects taking over the industry. We want to keep the short alive, with remembering the older films done by older film makers, and celebrating new films by new film makers, both side by side, shown as they should be on a big screen in a theater. The Brown Paper Pete Film Festival gives that chance.
A small group of folks started meeting at Bob's Big Boy on Tuesday nights to talk about and share memories of films and actors past and the lack of opportunity talented up-and-comers have to showcase what they can do. So, they decided to do something about it...and The Brown Paper Pete Film Festival was born.
